InterSpace was founded in 1998 as a non-profit association of professional artists, informatics engineers, do-it-yourself media makers. Guests: Shu Lea Cheang (New York/Paris), artist, conceptualist, filmmaker Margarita Dorovska (Sofia, Bulgaria), curator, InterSpace, Sofia Petko Dourmana (Sofia, Bulgaria), artist, director, InterSpace, Sofia Margarita is organizing, 20 year video art archive of Eastern Europe from 1989 to 2009. Petko is returning home after presenting "Post Global warming survival kit" at Transmediale09 in Berlin. Shu Lea is on her way to track down Dark Avenger (acclaimed first Bulgaria virus writer dated 1988-1989) in Sofia, as residency artist at InterSpace. Together, we are traveling through the Baltics and the Balkans to drop by on Novi Sad!! Shu Lea, noted for her Guggenheim Museum New York's first web art comission BRANDON (1998-1999) and notorious for KINGDOM of Piracy , co-curation with Armin Medosch and Yukiko Shikata, invites Novi Sad's pirates on board to discuss her current project with InterSpace and the next Kingdom, Kingdom 0. Petko will present his speculative art and slam global warming rhetoric. Margarita hopes to open up interspace artist-in-residency invitation and exchange dialogues on video art development in the region.
