And throughout the weekend in Dokukin Croatia, we continue with screenings of Žilnik's films. The program includes short documentaries from the very beginning of the director's work, from 1967 to 1973, the award-winning documentary Fortress Europe from 2000, and two of the three parts of the Kennedy trilogy Kenedi Goes Back Home and Kenedi, Lost and Found. . Namely, this is the part of the trilogy that belongs more to the documentary than to the feature genre.

‘The backbone of the book is a series of essays by contemporary film theorists and art critics such as Pavle Levi, Branislav Dimitrijević or Marina Gržinić, interviews with Žilnik as well as the author’s own review of his films. The "accompanying" activity of collecting newspaper articles about his film and activist work, video and photographic documentation on the methodology of his work, and rare archival material enabled monitoring the "relationship" of institutions, public opinion, political and cultural establishment towards Žilnik's work (and beyond) at the moment. created, and collected and published in one place, this material enables ambiguous contextualization and reading of Žilnik's filmography today ', says the editor of this edition Branka Ćurčić.

The DVD edition contains more than 500 documents and newspaper articles, more than a hundred rarely or never seen photos from filming, and video clips from almost all of Žilnik's feature and documentary works, of which there are more than forty.

The promotion will be attended by the editor of the book and DVD Roma, Branka Ćurčić, producer and co-editor Sarita Matijević, and the author himself, Želimir Žilnik.
