The book "Contemporaries of Fascism: Perception of Fascism in the Belgrade Public 1933-1941" aims to determine how much contemporaries knew about fascism in the period from 1933 to 1941, what kind of image of fascism was offered to the informed reader in Belgrade in the 1930s, how he understood his ideology on the basis of what was offered, what he knew about his immediate practice and especially about the goals he was striving for.
The aim of the second book "Contemporaries of Fascism: Yugoslavia in the surroundings 1933-1941" is an attempt to answer several key questions: whether in the opinion of contemporaries there was fascism and racism in the country, whether Yugoslavia was more threatened by internal or external fascism, why liberalism did not show strength in the conditions before the outbreak of World War II, why his individual conspirators, although in previous years declaratively anti-fascists, approached collaboration easier than the anti-fascist movement, why the occupying power had no problem finding collaborators, and indirectly, why communists thanks to their anti-fascism came out of the war victorious.
The promotion of the book is part of the project of the Alternative Cultural Organization "From Glorification to Rejection - 70 Years of the Anti-Fascist Uprising in Yugoslavia", supported by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung.
