> Lusiano Basauri and Dafne Berc are co-founders of the urban research organization Analog, currently in Novi Sad on a three-month professional residency within the 'Artists-in-residency' program produced by the Center for New Media_kuda.org from Novi Sad. Since 2008, Centar_kuda.org has been participating in a three-month bilateral exchange program for artists and researchers in cooperation with the Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart, http://www.akademie-solitude.de/. The program is implemented in cooperation with the Institute for Culture of Vojvodina.
During their stay in Novi Sad, they implemented a project entitled "Latent in the city: Gaps in Novi Sad" - The project explores the nature and development opportunities of areas in transition, semi-abandoned and consolidated areas of untapped potential and how they can help define and strengthen urban identities of the city. It is the result of research by Lusiano Basauri, Daphne Bertz, and Aleksandar Bede, conversations with local experts, and people directly connected to some of the sites. The New Media Center_kuda.org played a key role in formulating the theoretical framework. The hypothesis that the development of urbanism in Novi Sad lies in protecting these areas from construction shifts the focus to interventions concerning the accessibility of selected locations, increasing their urban qualities, and establishing different practices of active use by as diverse groups of citizens as possible, with the necessary productivity.
