EXHIBITION 'Signs of Revolt' - Creative Resistance against Capitalism

The exhibition 'Signs of Revolt' (http://signsofrevolt.net) was first realized in London in 2009 with the aim of connecting and promoting united creative forms of resistance, protest, and social movements in a time of capital domination.

The exhibition 'Signs of Revolt' connects the stories of the social movements of the last century, showing the influences and connections between and within the movements against capitalism, war, and climate change. It shows one in a series of stories about how we came from Chiapas to Seattle, Genoa, and Copenhagen. Till today.

Signs of Revolt is an activist collective of artists and designers who follow the idea of what we can describe as creative resistance, a practice that is not strictly just art or design but creativity in conjunction with social and political movements that emerged from the crisis of capitalism.

The story is interwoven with works created during the movement, within the movements themselves or for them, and created by artists, designers, directors, photographers, activists, and collectives. The exhibition is a good opportunity to reflect and celebrate the new creative actions that have emerged from these movements. At this exhibition, the selection of works will be expanded and supplemented by works created in the region, as well as the results created at the screen printing workshop in CK13.
