«Invisible Space» explores micro-movements and silence as a framework for
reflecting on the relationship between humans, nature, and society, uncovering the
value of unnoticed moments and raising questions about the role of technology and
ecology today.
The five-day residency at the Macura Warehouse brings together dancer Sasha
Portyannikova (Innsbruck, Austria) and musician Vanja Dabić (Belgrade, Serbia) to
explore pause and minimal gestures. Their work is focused on creating a shared space
- a field where sound and movement encounter and resonate with one another. What
matters here is not only what we see or hear, but also what we feel, sharing a moment
with “the other” - a person or nature, which may differ from us, not fitting into our
expectations, yet still inviting us into a shared experience. It is a space where silence
is understood not as the opposite of sound, but as a possibility for sharing and being
together.
In this context, the Macura Warehouse becomes a place of slowing down,
attentiveness, and self-reflection.
